IBM Induction meeting

I joined IBM on 11 September 2006, this date is better known as 9/11. Previously I was working in IBM only but not on direct payroll. I worked for IBM as a contractor for one year and 4 months.
On 11th I rushed to The Grand Ashoka for induction. Something was happening inside me...but good thing. I think it was joy to become an IBMer. I took a chair near the person who was checking our documents. From 9:30 to 2 PM we were busy with filling forms. uff! At 2 o'clock after lunch we rejuvenated our energy. Now it was time for HR learning team to teach us about IBM culture, process, value etc. In between she sometimes ask us to stand up and play some game. And after end of every game she used to simulate us with the working environments and values. But it was great fun. Before end of first day she gave us one task:
Create a team, name a team, create a logo for the team, compose a song for the team, choose a COC Leader and choose a Cheers leader. We created a team that has nine members. We quickly decided we'll keep some hindi name. And we all were agree for NAVRATNAs. I created a logo. Logo was like prism ans every corner of a prism has star and there was a start in center and all start were connected with each other. We composed song for our team "Hum honge kamyaab ek din ... ha ha pura hai vishwas man me hai vishwas" I was elected as a cheers leader and Anand was elected as Coc leader. We introduced our team to all other joinee. There were 77 person who joined IBM on that day. First day of induction meeting got over by 6 pm.
Next day we had to reach by 9 am at The Grand Ashoka. I reached at 8:59am. Again she asked us to discuss about IBM three values that we had read in the night. It went till 1 pm. After that again we played some blind game. We had been given a number and after that they made us blind by wrapping cloth around eyes. But before that they had given us some time to decide code and rules to make. and then we had to create a line in ascending order without talking to each other. It was a greatest fun we had there at induction meeting.

Very entertaining and informative induction meeting i had ever had attended before.

After two days induction program when i reached office i heard the following line almost from everybody:
Welcome to IBM!
